"A Fantastic Evening At Bombay Bay Indian Bar & Restaurant"

*I was fortunate enough to be part of Bombay Bays' superb opening night.  On arrival I was treated to a wonderful reception with Champagne and strawberries served at the relaxing and nautical style bar.

The views of the marina as you walk around the fresh and spacious restaurant are stunning, the sun was setting and created a beautiful sky through the vast windows and the seats are positioned perfectly to take advantage of the scenery.

After mingling with others for a while, we were shown to our tables, set with crisp table linen and modern, comfortable seats. The special starter for the evening was vegetable parcels, lamb tikka and salad followed by the chefs choice of main dish 'murgh aloo niramish jhool with baghari rice' which I discovered was a wonderfully cooked whole chicken breast with lightly spiced potato strips on top served with rice and chefs special Bombay Bay sauce.

*The friendly staff were happy to help and the service was quick with enough time between courses. The meal ended with a wonderful egg desert with creamy rice pudding dressed with a fruit sauce.

The food was elegantly presented on stylish plates in a subtle nautical theme, definitely a modern way of serving this beautiful Indian cuisine.

Everybody had a fantastic evening, with everyone remarking on the success of the night including Councillor Mike Hancock who said "It was a great first night the first of many more to come. All the best for all of you, you have a great place and I'm sure it will go from strength to strength".

The outside patio area is set with simple table and chairs and heaters for you to be part of this brand new experience and they can cater for large and small groups, special occasions and there is also ample free parking available.

Bombay Bay is the only Indian bar and restaurant on the marina and surrounding area, so book your table to avoid disappointment!
